exercise, out of which 6 were given letters of formal request. 3 responded
affirmatively ad the team visited these schools teaching the youth.

be an avenue for generating income that can be used in other programs and
activities for SfHU and to foster financial sustainability.

planted and 23 bags were harvested expected to bring in 1.8 Ugx . The second
season is on and income generated from
the first season will be used to fund some of the activities in the second
season .
More follow up and monitoring is going
to be done in the second season to void the technical challenges faced during
the first season.
One
mother at a time project
This project was initiated during the
second quarter and it started with three pioneer mothers whose children were
those selected for the half bursary .
SfHU categorized it as a pilot project
and will be evaluated . These mothers were each given a financial contribution to boost their income generating activities . This money was given
with no interest however they are supposed to use it and generate profits as
savings towards their children’s fees in the following terms.
